Brief update...

Well, nothing to show at the moment but hopefully tomorrow. After having TG here last weekend I've been busy with school and playing more with my embroidery machine and ordering more of that luscious fabric from the previous post. I went back to Joann's and found a stripe that I think I will use for the final binding. Have received the extra pieces I ordered from ebay so now I just need the time to put stuff together...but this quilt is going to have to wait until after Christmas!

We drove over Snoqualmie pass today to go to DGD's eighth birthday party. I made her a Wonder Wallet and we tucked some cash in it for Girl Scout Camp next summer along with some books (not in the wallet!) Grandma Barb, being a librarian, must give books! Unfortunately the girls are getting older so pretty soon they will be out of the range of books that I know and I will have to rely on my fellow librarians for assistance!

I did finally try some multi-color embroidery. It actually went pretty well, though the second one is better than the first. There were a couple of colors that didn't cover as well as I expected but I guess that's the way it is! I will be doing more experimenting and hopefully will get some pictures up tomorrow.
