Twist and Shout

I bought a couple of the Twister tool and here is my first attempt. I used the small template that works with 5 inch squares so I used a couple of charm packs that I had. One of the complaints I hear about using the tool is the wasted fabric. As you can see I used the 'wasted fabric' in part of the borders which really sets off the rest of the quilt. I really like the way this looks - much easier than trying to do this sort of thing with real piecing! You can get the Twister Tools here. The larger tool works with 10 inch squares.

I've got this on my Flynn Frame so hopefully will get it quilted over the next couple of days. Planning on finishing it with red binding...

  1. Looks great Barb. I have that tool on my desk as I type. I have been sampling different charm packs to use with it. Your fabric choices turned out lovely and I love what you did with the extra squares, I am going to copy that idea. :)
