Let the Games begin!

Over at FAT (Fiber Art Traders) we have just completed a trade for PSIs - Plus Size Inchies - with the theme of the Beijing Olympics. I jumped on the band wagon and used the cute little mascots. I downloaded them reduced them to appropriate size with PhotoShop Elements and then printed 5 sets on printable canvas. They are mounded on corresponding colors of felt (which are also the colors of the Olympic rings) and zigzagged the edges with gold metallic thread. The backs were finished with the information about the trade as well as the name of each of these little guys. Since I have been playing with dyeing lace, I decided to dye some of the flowers with the same colors as the tissue paper I wrapped them in, creating a cute little package. I really like this for a finish and may look to do something like this for Christmas presents as these are flat decorations and you don't have to worry about them getting squished!
