Tag! I'm IT!

OK! So I have been tagged by Chania...we 'know' each other from F.A.T. (Fiber Art Traders) on Yahoo. Both of us are fairly new to blogging, but as I go back through the links this is a great way to expand your blog-base. 

Anyway, there are rules for being tagged....

1. When tagged place the name of the person and URL on your blog

2. Post the rules on your blog

3. Write 7 things about yourself

4. Name 7 of your favorite weblogs

5. Send an email letting those bloggers know they have been tagged!

So, here goes

1. While I am fairly new to quilting and very new to fiber arts in general, I have been sewing for probably 50 years! Gee, that sounds like a long time!

2. I am finding in my journey as a fiber artist that work gets in the way of play, but then work pays for the play! I can hardly wait for summer when I can spend more time playing!

3. I am also finding that I am pretty entrenched in 'coloring within the lines'. This is my biggest challenge, along with considering myself as an 'artist'.

4. In my 'real life'...the one that supports my habits, I am a teacher-librarian (the new name for school librarian) and this is my 28th year. I mostly love my job and the interaction with all of the kiddos and the new books and turning them on to the love of literature.

5. Originally from California, where I spent my first 23 years, I then spent the next 10 or so wandering through Oregon, Texas and Washington, finally settling here on the east side of Washington State 25 years ago...I guess I have finally put down my roots!

6. I am a klutz...never very athletic but I do love to swim. Favorite summer activity is camping with family and friends on property that my DH's family has...it has been in the family for over 100 years.

7...ummm... running out of interesting things...oh, like so many of my new friends on my various Yahoo groups, I have cats and feel my life is incomplete without a couple of my furry friends around.

Oh, that's only 6!!! I guess I will need to see if I can find some more! Stay tuned!
