Mystery Trade

FAT has just completed a 'mystery trade'. We were given a list of 5 items (red material, white buttons, thread, paper and something gold) and were told to make something! WOW! There were about 30 of us participating in this and the results were phenomenal!  (How did this get underlined???)

I decided to make Dotee Dolls, a type of art doll designed by Dot who lives in Australia. Through the power of the internet they are one of the new 'hot' items...to get the paper factor into mine I found some paper I had made years ago and made wings for my little gals...some of them got stringy red hair with old gold buttons (from my mother/grandmother's stash) and some got gold beads for hair. I made 6 but only traded 5 as I wanted to keep one for my own meager collection.

 They are all done by hand, so they take a bit of time, but are great to work on when watching a movie with DH or if I want to take a project along. I really should make myself some kits so I can grab and go!

When I get my 5 items I receive from this trade I will post pictures!
