Mayhem Step 5!

Yippee! Step 5 is finally done! Still need to square them up but Step 6 is the last one of putting the 6 blocks like this all together.

 

I've been watching some of the Eleanor Burns block party videos on Vimeo as I've been doing this...sometimes I get tired of her silliness but she sure knows her stuff and isn't afraid to make mistakes....one of the things that I learned from her was to move my needle to the right for the scant quarter inch seam. I know it is something I had checked once upon a time, but it didn't stick with me. I dug through my gizmos and found my handy-dandy Measuring Gauge and have now verified where my needle needs to be with the 1/4 inch foot and have put a notation on  a sticky note that I have secured to my machine!


Oh, had 'help' again this morning...Foxy needed some cuddle time, right in the middle of my sewing...
