I got the link for this hanging from my SewGoodFriends yahoo group and printed it out some time ago...found the printout still sitting in the output tray this weekend so decided to tackle it. Unfortunately I had no chicken wire fabric except black, so I went searching for a chicken wire embroidery design and found one online (and can't remember where! Will edit this when I do!). I had to duplicate it to make it large enough for my mega hoop and had to reposition the hoop once for each chicken. Also had to shrink the chickens by 80% because they would have been too big for their cages!
Besides the embroidery design, the only other thing I had to buy was some thread to match the chicken bodies for the applique stitching. I used little scrapbooking brads for their eyes.
Now I need to pickup the mess in the sewing studio before starting the next project.
