Absent

Sorry I've not posted recently. I have been busy with a commissioned embroidery project. A friend and I have another friend who is a children's book author and she asked us to make a cape for her to go along with a new book she has coming out. All three of us are teacher-librarians (the new name for school librarian) and this book is about a librarian teaching her kiddos about the Dewey Decimal System. The character at one point dons a cape which is covered with various things representing the DDS. Friend Jean made the cape and I did the embroidery of the items on the cape. I finally got it finished and off in the mail today! I have taken pictures but haven't downloaded them yet. 

This project has really forced me to start learning my embroidery machine! I have learned loads! Now, to move on to new projects...Just one more week until Spring Break!
