Two recent trades at ArtsNTheMail are for butterflies and Sunbonnet Sues. The butterflies were white when I got them off of ebay and used alcohol inks to dye them. I do need to remember to wear gloves so I don't get my hands all stained! The Sunbonnet Sue was my first attempt at doing them. I did these as iron on applique with machine stitching. I think she turned out pretty cute, but I don't think I'll pursue a quilt anytime soon!

ReplyDeleteI had a terrible time choosing the fabric for Sue...I have lots of 30's repro fabrics and I just couldn't decide which combination to use!
