Another group (Stashbuilders) that I belong to is more quilting and sewing based. We have a monthly sewing bee (one coming up this weekend...hope I have time!), FQ swaps, block lotteries where everyone who signs up to make a specific block pattern with the same color fabrics, round robins, row robins, and lots of other fun stuff. Oh, there is also a monthly contest where we anomously post pictures of things we have created and the other members vote. The first time I posted in the small category I won...no prize, just a bit of fame by having my project featured on the group's main page for the first half of the month.
Pictured above are the first batch of happies...the top one are the happies I got back from Mika. Love the rainbow colors on the borders. The next 2 are the ones I was able to keep (that's part of the activity, getting to keep a block from each one you trade with) from Lori and Mika after I put the borders on them. I sent out the same centers (a Laurel Burch design) this month so I eventually will get enough for a quilt.
