Happy New Year!

I wonder how many posts are out there with that as the title? Well, here's another one...

We are winding down our holidays with visits from my sisters (one from Indiana and one from California) and their husbands for most of the last week. Also had nephew and family here for a couple of days so we had a pretty full house!

I got all of the sewing that I wanted completed done for Christmas

...made 24 pairs of snowflake earrings from Murphy Designs - done in the hoop and look like tatting:

I also made little boxes to put them in:

5 fleece blankets, a stuff elephant (done in the hoop - from Embroidery-Designs);

and some travel sets consisting of a curling iron holder, jewelry bag and travel trinket tray. The last 2 were also done in-the-hoop!

I also got a wall hanging done for me! It was a new pattern that was just posted on Clotilde so I jumped on it!

My sisters are not the sewers that I am, though they learned to sew early on. They do appreciate what I make for them them but my oldest sister saw a Dresden Plate table topper I had made and said 'I'd like to make one of those!", so we went to the studio, had her shop my stash and she made a stunning purple and yellow/orange one. My other sister was lamenting that she had lost a Wonder Wallet when her purse was stolen from her car just before they came north so she also shopped the stash and made herself a new one! I just acted as a coach, guiding them when they needed advice. Both projects turned out really well and they were pleased with their efforts.

As usual, I will try to keep this more up to date! We'll see, though! Thanks for dropping by!
