Just got back late Sunday from a week in Red River and Taos, New Mexico with my sisters and 3 cousins. We had a great time, as expected! This is the second time we have done this, though my sisters and I have taken similar trips together over the past 14 years.
School starts in less than 3 weeks! Guess I need to get DH to go in to the library with me and help push things back where they belong after summer cleaning. This year's challenge will be starting the year with only 2 hours of aide time (where I have had 5 hours before - she is full time, but with breaks and duties, it works out to about only 5 hours - I hope that I can get that time increased!). We knew of this reduction (actually it was a full cut at first) early enough to do some retraining of kids so they do their own check in and sorting of books - it actually works out well as they end up learning more about how the library works this way.
As far as sewing goes, I made hats for everyone for the New Mexico trip and finished up Karen's Row for the Round Robin Row by Row that I'm involved in with some friends. I pulled out some applique blocks that I started sometime ago and finished the designs and started the applique.
Today while reading a blog I found some info about a QAYG that uses scraps. It is called Bottled Rainbow and looks like fun. I need to do something with my scraps so will start with sorting them while watching Netflix with DH.
